This award, inaugurated in 2004, recognizes the student with the highest standing in the course History of Canada (HIST 1440, formerly 11.144) at the University of Manitoba. The award commemorates the life and work of Charles Napier Bell, who was President of the MHS from 1889 to 1891 and again from 1913 to 1929.
