Canada’s largest farm heritage festival!

Join us for a day-trip to visit the Thresherman’s Reunion at the Manitoba Agricultural Museum near Austin. The museum is rated as one of Manitoba’s key attractions with an impressive array of working farme equipment including vintage tractors, both steam and gasoline, threshing outfits, etc.

During our trip we will see these vintage machines in action, as well as in static display, along with extensive collections of farm equipment, and the Homesteaders’ Village of over 20 heritage buildings. A highlight is the afternoon parade of horse-drawn equipment and century-old state engines and tractors from over six decades.

Itinerary:

  • 8:00 AM pickup at Walmart parking lot, 1000 Taylor Avenue (8 AM SHARP, the bus cannot delay departure)
  • Refreshment stop at Portage la Prairie
  • 11:00 AM Manitoba Agricultural Museum arrival
  • 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Free time to explore museum exhibits, Homesteaders’ Village, and enjoy a lunch from food booths, dining hall, or food trucks on site.
  • 1:00 – 1:30 PM Grab a seat in the grandstand for the Vintage Equipment Parade that begins at 1:30 pm. *arrive at the grandstand early, and enjoy music in the grandstand from noon until the parade.
  • Late afternoon group convenes at designated location by tour director to head back to Winnipeg
  • Dinner stop at Portage la Prairie, Herman Prior Centre
  • 8:00 PM arrival at 1000 Taylor Avenue
